Offering Expert Guided Tours of Key Design Districts in New York City
NYCx Design & Retail Store Tours ™ are launching the largest and most ambitious DESIGN WEEK STORE TOURS during the 7thannual NYCxDesign Week. Design Week Store Tours provides a leading connoisseur and chronicler of design who will guide guests through an exclusive, curated two hour immersive experience to expand the appetite and appreciation of design-driven hospitality and ultra-contemporary home furnishings in four of Manhattan’s premier design districts: Flatiron, Greene Street, SoHo, and Madison Avenue.

Flatiron District’s always-changing NYC neighborhood makes for the perfect walking tour for design shoppers and homeowners on a mission. The Flatiron Design District offers the widest range of décor, furniture and flagship concept stores, with some vintage thrown in for good measure. Greene Street is the gateway to New York City’s most concentrated contemporary design universe in a few cobble stone blocks. Guests will discover and experience the wealth of diversity in designs, artisans and makers. Meet the new design stars, and become immersed in the tastes and style of this remarkable design district. The guide for Greene Street District is Robert di Mauro, multi media personality recognized for his insights and commentary on lifestyle, culture, fashion and design. May 17, 18, 21, 22.
Madison Avenue will allow guests to discover and experience what’s behind the bricks and mortar of these internationally famous luxury emporiums and heritage brands. Guests will meet the makers and the brand ambassadors who will share the creator’s story. The guide for the Madison Avenue tour is Irenka Jakubiak, a trend forecaster and writer/editor covering fashion and design. May 17, 18, 21, 22.
SoHo Design District, New York’s newest and most experimental home furnishing and interior designers have established flagship stores at the intersection of Howard and Crosby Streets in the SoHo Historic Cast Iron District. Meet the new design stars and discover what’s behind the bricks and mortar of these high style designer stores and hotels in this of dynamic design district. The guide for the SoHo Design District is Melissa Feldman, design writer, consultant and content strategist. May 10, 11, 14, 16.
